This position is located in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is not offered as a remote position.SummaryThe Senior Accountant is responsible for all aspects of the accounting process. This person will be responsible for maintaining the General Ledger within the accounting system. Reconciling of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, guiding the company through the monthly close process, and establishing strong internal controls will be key components of the position. The Corporate Controller will work with senior management and department heads in creating the annual and quarterly budget.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Ownership of balance sheet accounts and account reconciliations including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, CIP and accrued liabilitiesMonth end close including bank reconciliations, accruals, intercompany transfers, straight-line lease adjustments and cost allocations- Budget to actual variance analysis and presentationSales tax, personal property tax and real property tax filingsAnalyzing current and past financial data, preparing reports and projections based on this analysisAssist with the completion of the annual external audit and preparation of financial statement footnotes- Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecastsCoordinating with other members of the finance and accounting team to review financial information

Job Requirements:

BS/BA in Accounting, requiredMaster of Accountancy, CPA and/or CMA, preferred4+ years' experience in a corporate accounting environmentStrong understanding of US GAAPStrong understanding of balance sheet account reconciliationsStrong understanding of internal controls and accounting process controlsExperience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, or similar general ledger system, preferred
