Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, supporting the month-end close process, analyzing financial activity, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.Analyze financial results, research variances, and provide meaningful insights to management.Review and understand general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and completeness.Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.Partner with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and improve financial reporting processes.Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation to external auditors.Develop, document, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.Support special projects and process improvement initiatives.Provide guidance, review work product, and help coordinate workflow within the accounting team.Assist with both corporate and property accounting responsibilities as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university.3 to 5 years of professional accounting experience.Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Property accounting experience.Experience working with Yardi accounting software.Previous experience supporting audits and financial statement preparation.
