This position is primarily responsible for all aspects of grant accounting, while also supporting budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a dynamic, mission-driven healthcare environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGrant Accounting & ComplianceManage all accounting functions related to federal, state, and private grantsEnsure compliance with grant agreements, funding requirements, and reporting deadlinesPrepare and submit grant financial reports and reimbursement requestsTrack grant budgets, expenditures, and variances across multiple programs and locationsCollaborate with program managers to ensure accurate allocation of grant fundsFinancial Reporting & Month-End CloseAssist with month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accrualsAnalyze monthly financial results and prepare variance explanationsSupport the preparation of internal and external financial reportsMaintain accurate and timely general ledger recordsBudgeting & ForecastingAssist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecastsMonitor budget-to-actual results and identify trends or risksSupport financial planning efforts for grant-funded and operational activitiesCollaboration & Process ImprovementWork closely with finance leadership, program staff, and external auditorsAssist with grant-related audits and financial reviewsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencyQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including grant accountingStrong understanding of GAAP and grant compliance requirementsExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysisProficiency in accounting systems and ExcelStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesPreferredExperience in healthcare, nonprofit, or government-funded organizationsCPA or progress toward CPA a plusExperience working in a multi-location or multi-entity environmentInterested in hearing more?
