Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
2. Performing regular financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
3. Conducting month-end and year-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
4. Preparing and presenting monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
5. Managing and reconciling GL accounts.
6. Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
7. Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting systems and internal control policies.
8. Providing support for internal and external audits.
9. Collaborating with other departments to improve financial efficiency and accuracy.
10. Mentoring and providing guidance to junior accounting staff.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Proven experience with Year End Close, Monthly Reporting, and GL.
6. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
