Job Description:

The Senior Accounting Manager leads global teams across the United States, Costa Rica, Malaysia, and Vietnam and is responsible for Intel's consolidated financial close, financial statement consolidation, and management reporting processes.

This role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting of consolidated financial results. Key responsibilities include leading the monthly and quarterly close, overseeing financial statement consolidation, and directing quarterly executive reporting, balance sheet analysis, cash flow reporting, and related financial analysis. The Senior Accounting Manager also partners closely with External Reporting to support SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of Intel's consolidated financial results, delivering clear and decision-useful insights to senior leadership, and driving accountability and operational excellence across global close, consolidation, and reporting processes. Success in this role requires strong accounting and financial reporting expertise, effective people leadership, strategic thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to build partnerships and influence across a complex global organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop global teams responsible for financial close, consolidation, management reporting, balance sheet analysis, cash flow reporting, and related financial analysis.

  • Lead the consolidated monthly and quarterly close processes, establish clear expectations, monitor performance, and drive the accurate and timely completion of deliverables.

  • Oversee the consolidation of financial results and ensure the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of Intel's consolidated financial statements.

  • Lead quarterly management reporting processes, including executive reporting packages, financial results analysis, variance explanations, and management commentary.

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of the consolidated statement of cash flows and related reporting.

  • Translate financial results and business drivers into clear, decision-useful insights for senior leadership.

  • Coordinate with Finance stakeholders to identify and resolve close, consolidation, and reporting issues, dependencies, and risks.

  • Partner with External Reporting to support Forms 10-Q and 10-K, including financial statement analysis and disclosure-related information.

  • Collaborate with Corporate Planning, Revenue Accounting, Treasury Accounting, Tax, Investor Relations, the CFO Office, and other stakeholders to support quarterly reporting and leadership reviews.

  • Support external auditor requests related to financial close, consolidation, financial reporting, cash flow, and disclosures.

  • Serve as a liaison with IT to assess system impacts, coordinate issue resolution, and communicate risks to relevant stakeholders.

  • Establish and monitor performance metrics and drive accountability for the quality and timely completion of close, consolidation, and reporting deliverables.

  • Lead process improvement and transformation initiatives that strengthen reporting quality, efficiency, scalability, and controls.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to use automation, technology, and AI-enabled solutions across close, consolidation, and management reporting processes.

  • Benchmark relevant practices and apply leading practices to continuously improve processes, controls, and reporting outputs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.

  • 10+ years of progressive corporate accounting or financial reporting experience, or 8+ years with a Master's degree.

  • 5+ years of experience leading, coaching, and developing direct and/or global teams.

  • CPA certification.

  • Public accounting experience.

  • Experience leading or overseeing financial close, global consolidation, and management reporting processes.

  • Experience preparing or reviewing management reporting, financial statement analysis, and cash flow reporting.

  • Experience supporting SEC reporting processes, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K.

  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and global teams, translating complex financial information into clear and actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships, influence across functions, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Experience working with ERP, consolidation, and reporting systems (e.g., SAP, S/4HANA, Workiva, or similar platforms), as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, including four days per week in office, from our Jones Farm, OR or Chandler, AZ office locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a large, global, matrixed organization.

  • Experience overseeing multiple accounting and reporting functions within a public company.

  • Experience leading process improvement, automation, finance transformation, or AI-enabled initiatives that improve close, consolidation, reporting, and financial analysis processes.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $165,890.00-234,200.00 USD
