We’re hiring our first dedicated accounting leader at a pivotal moment in our growth. As our Accounting Director, you’ll build the foundation for a scalable finance function while owning day-to-day accounting operations. This role is open because we’re entering our next phase of scale — implementing a new ERP, expanding our customer base, and preparing for increasing reporting and compliance needs.

You’ll have broad ownership and real autonomy. A typical week might include closing the books, partnering with leadership on financial reporting, leading ERP implementation discussions, refining revenue recognition policies, and strengthening internal controls. You’ll collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, and external auditors to ensure our financial infrastructure supports responsible, sustainable growth.

Success in this role means accurate and timely financial reporting, clean audits, scalable systems, and clear visibility into company performance. Most importantly, you’ll design processes that allow Levelpath to move fast while maintaining strong financial discipline.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting

  • Establish and maintain revenue recognition policies in accordance with ASC 606

  • Lead the selection and implementation of our ERP system, designing scalable financial workflows

  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger operations

  • Develop and document internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures

  • Lead audit management end-to-end, ensuring clean audited financials and timely tax filings

  • Partner with FP&A and executive leadership to deliver financial reporting and analysis that informs decision-making

  • Hire and develop the accounting team as the company grows

What you Bring to the Table

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience at high-growth companies

  • CPA required

  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, particularly ASC 606 revenue recognition

  • Experience in SaaS or subscription-based business models

  • Experience implementing or significantly improving NetSuite or a similar ERP system

  • Experience supporting financial audits and maintaining documentation related to SOC 1, ISO, or similar compliance frameworks

  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment

  • While not required, it’s an added plus if you have:

    • Prior experience as the first or early accounting hire at a startup

    • Big Four or national public accounting firm experience

    • Experience managing spend management or procurement tooling

    • Exposure to international accounting considerations

    • Experience partnering closely with Product or Engineering teams in a technology company

Benefits

  • 100% Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Flexible PTO, Parental Leave, Sick Leave

  • Competitive compensation and equity package

  • 401k

  • Commuter benefits

  • In-office snacks and Friday team lunches

  • Team-driven happy hours and celebrations

The estimated annual base cash salary for this role is Comp range = $190,000 - $230,000
