Senior Accounting Specialist

The Senior Accounting Specialist will provide accounting support to all financial accounting areas, including accounts payable, payroll, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation.

Responsible For:

1. Accounts Payable:

1. • Qualify vendors and maintain accurate vendor files.
   • Route invoices for approval and enter bills in Stampli and in accounting software.
   • Process accounts payable checks and ACH's bi-weekly and maintain accounts payable vendor files.

1. General Accounting:
2. • Record daily bank revenue, payments and bank deposits in QuickBooks.
   • Participate in month-end financial close.
   • Provide administrative support to Controller.
   • Keep track of birthdays and anniversaries for recognition in the staff meeting
3. Purchasing

• Process purchase requests
• Track purchases
• Receive and distribute purchases

1. Payroll
2. • Verify and calculate bi-weekly payrolls.
   • Manage payroll records and accurate recording of payroll to general ledger.

This position requires someone with the following skills and characteristics:

1. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and QuickBooks Enterprise is required. Additional experience with QuickBooks Online a plus.
2. Confidentiality of all financial and payroll data is mandated.

Educational/Certification requirements:

1. Minimum of associate's degree in accounting or comparable experience.
2. Five to seven years of general accounting experience.

Hours

Monday- Thursday- 7:30 a.m.- 5:00p.m./5:30 p.m.

Friday- 7:30 a.m.- 12:00p.m./12:30 p.m.
