Job Description

This dynamic role within SCOR's North Asia L&H Reserving team has a strong focus on delivering IFRS 17 and Solvency II results for SCOR's business in Korea and Japan. As a senior member, you will lead key valuation activities, mentor junior team members, and play a pivotal role in transforming reserving processes and systems.

You will take ownership of change initiatives, including evolving reporting frameworks, driving automation, and

fostering cross-functional collaboration to enhance efficiency and insight.

In addition, you will support the Head of L&H North Asia Reserving across a broad range of valuation

activities-covering IFRS 17, Solvency II, local statutory bases, stress testing, and assumption reviews. This

role offers significant autonomy and responsibility, including leading strategic projects and engaging with

stakeholders across the SCOR Group to communicate results and influence decision-making.

At least 10 years of relevant experience in insurance or reinsurance working in a reserving or actuarial

modelling context

Qualified / part-qualified actuary or bachelors degree in actuarial science, maths, engineering or

equivalent quantitative field

Knowledge of actuarial modelling platforms (Prophet, AXIS or equivalent), Prophet expertise is a

definite advantage

Experienced in programming tools such as Python or SQL is an advantage

Strong understanding of Life and Health (re)insurance and reserving practices

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Experience in leading projects, workstreams and/or teams; collaborating with stakeholders in a global

context

Enjoys working at pace, in a collaborative and open environment with global teams

Flexible and agile

Strong technical skill set, passionate about innovation and processes improvment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proactive, takes strong ownership, committed to delivery
