TrustMotion part of NXP is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our growing team in Novi Sad office with hybrid way of working, on next-generation AI solutions for embedded platforms.

The role focuses on the development, architecture, fine-tuning, optimization, and deployment of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision Language Models (VLMs), with a strong emphasis on bringing AI from concept to execution on hardware platforms.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and optimize AI solutions based on LLMs and VLMs
• Independently solve complex AI engineering problems and drive their implementation
• Contribute to the architecture and technical design of AI solutions
• Fine-tune models for specific use cases and domains
• Develop and maintain AI agents using modern agentic frameworks
• Design and develop MCP tools and integrate them into AI agent workflows
• Evaluate model performance, accuracy, latency, and resource utilization
• Deploy and optimize AI models on embedded and edge computing platforms
• Create proof-of-concepts and contribute to product development activities
• Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced team members
• Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies and industry trends

What We Are Looking For

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience
• Strong programming skills
• Good understanding of machine learning and deep learning fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, VLMs, or other Generative AI systems
• Experience with model fine-tuning and evaluation techniques
• Experience using AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, or similar
• Strong understanding of AI system design and software engineering best practices
• Experience with Agentic AI frameworks
• Experience with MCP tools and AI tool integration
• Understanding of version control systems and collaborative software development practices

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of model optimization and edge AI deployment
• Experience with Linux environments
• Experience working with multimodal AI systems
• Embedded systems experience, particularly in AI model deployment and performance optimization
• Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other engineers
