Senior Analyst, Operational Readiness - Claims Shared Services, Axis Global Claims

AXIS is seeking a Senior Analyst, Operational Readiness, to join the Global Claims Shared Services (GCSS) team. Reporting to the Head of Optimization, Claims Shared Services, this role ensures approved technology, process, vendor and operating model changes are ready for implementation, adopted by AXIS Global Claims, and stabilized into business-as-usual operations.

The role is responsible for business readiness, cutover, adoption, operational handoff, hypercare and BAU transition, but does not own requirements, solution design, product roadmaps, project delivery or portfolio prioritization.

Working with Product Owners, business sponsors, project managers, technology teams, vendors and operational leaders, the role confirms Claims is prepared to receive, use and sustain new processes and technology.

The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For:

Operational Readiness & Cutover

  • Operational readiness assessments and readiness sign-off processes for approved technology, process, vendor and operating model changes, ensuring assessments are completed on time and aligned to defined go-live criteria.
  • Develop and maintain readiness frameworks, checklists and go-live criteria that establish clear expectations for operational capability, resource readiness and support model readiness.
  • Lead business cutover planning and execution activities against approved readiness, handoff and service acceptance plans.
  • Coordinate business operational handoffs and service acceptance activities, with clear ownership, success criteria and support model handoff.
  • Identify, document and escalate readiness gaps to accountable owners before implementation.
  • Establish transition-to-BAU plans, stabilization criteria and measurable success indicators for each implementation.

Training & Business Adoption

  • Implementation communications and stakeholder readiness plans, ensuring impacted users understand what is changing, when it is changing and what action is required.
  • Coordinate business training delivery and completion tracking, with the goal of meeting training completion and stakeholder preparedness targets before go-live.
  • Measure user adoption, operational utilization and preparedness to adopt new capabilities before and after implementation.
  • Identify adoption and readiness gaps before implementation and coordinate remediation with accountable owners.
  • Support post-deployment adoption reviews and feedback loops to improve future readiness execution.

Process Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Support development of functional process maps, SOPs, workflow documentation and operational playbooks required for successful go-live and BAU transition.
  • Ensure functional process documentation remains current following operational or system changes.
  • Support establishment of centralized knowledge repositories and documentation standards that enable consistent sustainment after implementation.
  • Coordinate documentation, SOP, job aid and knowledge repository updates as part of implementation closure.

Hypercare & Stabilization

  • Lead business hypercare activities following go-live, with clear issue intake, escalation and closure disciplines.
  • Monitor adoption, operational performance and issue trends during stabilization, with focus on reducing unresolved issues and supporting faster stabilization.
  • Coordinate business inputs to issue triage, escalation and closure during the transition period.
  • Track vendor and service readiness issues, knowledge transfer actions and adherence to agreed operating procedures.
  • Coordinate lessons learned and transition closure activities, ensuring insights are captured and applied to improve future readiness, cutover and stabilization execution.

Reporting & Value Realization

  • Partner with Global MI & Insights to support adoption, utilization and benefits reporting.
  • Track readiness, stabilization, adoption and implementation outcome metrics to confirm approved changes are landing effectively.
  • Support development of implementation scorecards and executive reporting materials that highlight readiness status, adoption trends, stabilization issues and transition-to-BAU progress.
  • Assist with post-implementation reviews and outcome measurement, including lessons learned, realized benefits and continuous improvement actions.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with Claims Operations, Claims Optimization, Compliance & QA, Third Party Management, Product Owners, Technology, Data & Analytics and Claims Business Leadership to support successful readiness outcomes.
  • Clarify readiness, cutovers, adoption and BAU handoff ownership across impacted teams.
  • Provide visibility to readiness gaps, operational dependencies and transition risks for accountable business owners to resolve.
  • Foster strong working relationships across GCSS and partner teams to ensure change lands effectively and is sustained in BAU.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in business operations, operational readiness, project coordination, business analysis, change management, claims operations or process improvement; claims project or optimization experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting implementation, technology deployment, operational change, business transformation, vendor transition or BAU handoff activities.
  • Strong organization, communication, analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, job aids, training materials and knowledge resources.
  • Experience with claims systems, operational workflows, insurance operations, AI, automation or systems modernization preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Copilot, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams.
