Job Description
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that the financial analysis on prospective clients is completed accurately and within appropriate deadlines.
- Provide savings analyses to accompany proposals and RFPs
- Work closely with the RFP/Proposal team to respond to RFP questions regarding pricing and analytical questions.
- Work with ProCare Rx Account Managers to support contract renewal and retention efforts.
- Provide expertise on valuations of potentials corporate initiatives, creating client pricing, ROI, and the ability to evaluate opportunities within the larger scope of the entire company.
- Leverage pharmacy and medical claims data to provide actionable and relevant and timely analytic insight.
- Engage with leadership to identify areas where analytics can drive business value.
- Work additional ad hoc projects as assigned.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/university or equivalent work experience
- Prior experience analyzing medical and/or (self-funding / PBM experience a plus)
- Clear and concise communication skills - both written and oral
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries, QlikView experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft office (Microsoft CRM is a plus)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to develop and implement innovative pricing strategies that improve market competitiveness while maintaining profitability goals
- Incorporate the impacts of new products and services, specialty program offerings, and company initiatives into the financial evaluations and pricing proposals
- Analyze, develop, and validate statistical data
- Document, review, and improve quoting and forecasting tools and modeling
- Strong understanding of employer/group health benefits from all funding methodologies (spectrum from fully insured to fully self-funded) and what the risks/returns are to the group of each funding method.
- Proven experience and success in evaluating various types of group health plans
- Strong understanding of ACA, PPACA, and Medicare
- Works well in an environment with rapidly changing priorities and quick deadlines
- Demonstrable experience in developing successful pricing methodologies
- Ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner
- Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues; strong client service orientation
