Job Description
Spotify is seeking a dedicated and driven Senior Analyst to join its Growth Finance team. In this role, you will help support a wide cross-section of Spotify's financial planning and analysis work, ranging from the division's long-term financial plan to budget controllership to new initiatives support. You will be working closely with incumbent Managers and Senior Analysts on the team and be a key business partner to Spotify's Markets and Marketing business unit.
Through quantitative analysis and strategic thinking, you will play a critical role in supporting decision-making within Spotify's marketing and growth strategy as well as the company's overall business planning and forecasting process with a focus on market performance.
What You'll Do
- Partner strategically across international markets to translate complex financial data into actionable growth levers.
- Build and execute comprehensive regional financial frameworks, looking beyond standard P&Ls to uncover the the underlying drivers of business performance.
- Analyze capital allocation strategies by identifying optimization opportunities and proposing high-impact investment solutions.
- Work with large data sets, synthesize insights, and present recommendations.
- Cross-functionally lead initiatives with Global Strategy and Marketing to synthesize a 360-degree view of marketing ROI.
- Drive operational excellence by streamlining financial processes and scaling advanced ROI modeling for global spend.
- Own the end-to-end forecasting and budgeting cycles for your remit, ensuring alignment with Spotify's long-term growth targets.
Who You Are
- At least 4 years of experience in a complex and data-driven business environment.
- Familiarity with SaaS and/or content licensing business models is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree is required, CPA/CFA welcome.
- Experience managing non-finance collaborators, preferably partners around the world.
- Strong financial modeling skills and business insights, with the ability to drive projects from start to finish; leans into detail and granularity.
- Experience distilling complex systems and frameworks into well-synthesized narratives and recommendations for diverse audiences.
- Strong grasp of the 3 financial statements, with a high proficiency and enthusiasm for problem-solving through quantitative modeling and analysis.
- Advanced MS Excel/Google Sheets skills with a deep understanding of model architecture, formula efficiency, and pivot tables.
- Experience with Ai Tools, SQL and Business Intelligence (BI) tools are preferred.
- Ability to stay proactive, organized, and dynamic in a rapidly changing environment.
- Balanced and organized when working across high priority, simultaneous workstreams.
- Self-starter who is proactive, intellectually curious, and not afraid to seek out projects independently.
Where You'll Be
- This role is based in New York, NY.
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come in 2-3 times per week.
The United States base range for this position is $90,521 - $129,316 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
