Job Description
Job Title: Senior Analyst Risk Adjustment- Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid)Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)Job OverviewSenior Analyst Risk Adjustment- Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is responsible for the execution, coordination, and ongoing operation of enterprise risk management program, under the direction of the Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management. This role leads ERM assessments, coordinates enterprise-wide risk processes, and synthesizes risk and opportunity insights for Senior Leadership, the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the Board, regulators, and the Enterprise Risk and Opportunity Council. The position requires advanced ERM expertise, enterprise-level judgment, and close collaboration with Executive and Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents and Senior Directors to influence risk and opportunity outcomes that matter to ’s strategy and performance.Major Responsibilities (8 to 10 in total)
- Execute and sustain enterprise risk management tools, processes, and methodologies established by the VP, Enterprise Risk Management, ensuring consistency, quality, and repeatability across the enterprise.
- Lead ERM assessments evaluating governance, process effectiveness, and enterprise capabilities supporting Key Success Factors, working closely with senior business leaders to elicit insight, challenge assumptions, and assess maturity using professional judgment and ERM expertise.
- Coordinate the annual enterprise risk assessment process, including engagement with Vice Presidents, Senior Directors, and subject matter experts; aggregate and synthesize enterprise risk and opportunity information for leadership review.
- Serve as day-to-day project manager for the Company’s annual Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA), coordinating enterprise inputs, drafting materials, and managing timelines for leadership review, approval, and submission to the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance (DOBI).
- Prepare enterprise risk, opportunity, and ERM assessment results that inform leadership decision-making, trade-offs, and prioritization, for reporting to the ELT and the Audit, Compliance, and Risk Committee of the Board.
- Facilitate and participate in ERM governance forums, including the Enterprise Risk and Opportunity Council (comprised of Vice Presidents and Senior Directors); document discussion outcomes, decisions, and agreed-upon follow-ups.
- Support the ongoing operation of the Enterprise Risk and Opportunity Council by coordinating meeting materials, synthesizing cross-enterprise risk and opportunity themes, and preparing analyses to inform leadership discussions and decisions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders by applying ERM expertise to interpret assessment results, surface insights, and frame implications, without assuming ownership of enterprise risk decisions or remediation.
- Partner with Internal Audit, Compliance, Actuarial, Finance, and other stakeholders to support alignment across assurance activities, ERM assessments, enterprise risk reporting, and regulatory submissions.
- Represent the Company in external enterprise risk management forums (e.g., A, peer plan discussions, industry groups), as delegated by the VP, Enterprise Risk Management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Master's degree in business administration or other advanced degree a plus.
- Typically requires 8 years of experience in enterprise risk management, management consulting, financial services, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level assessments requiring judgment, synthesis, and direct engagement with Vice Presidents and Senior Directors.
- 7 years experience in senior, enterprise-facing roles requiring independent judgment, influence, and execution.
- Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Risk Manager (CRM) and other applicable insurance or risk management certifications/designations a plus, but not required.
- Enterprise risk management frameworks and assessment methodologies preferred.
- Governance, process, and capability maturity concepts.
- Regulatory risk reporting expectations, including ORSA and NAIC-aligned guidance, preferred.
- Health insurance industry regulatory and operating environment preferred.
- Creating business cases and ROIs for complex work.
- Ability to influence Executive and Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents and Senior Directors through expertise and professional credibility.
- Ability to translate complex enterprise risk assessments into actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Strong analytical judgment and synthesis skills applied to enterprise-level assessments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for Executive and Board audiences.
- Strong project management, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Early user of Generative AI and willingness to develop skills further
