Job Description
We’re seeking a seasoned Senior Architect / Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary project teams from concept through construction. In this role, you’ll oversee the entire project lifecycle—business development, proposals, design leadership, client relations, and construction administration—while delivering excellence across a variety of project types.
Ideal candidates will bring 10+ years of architectural experience, especially in Public Sector, Education, Industrial, and Commercial markets. If you're a licensed architect in New Mexico (or can get licensed), skilled in REVIT, and thrive in a collaborative environment—we want to meet you.
What You'll Do
Project Leadership
Direct and manage architectural projects of varying complexity from start to finish.
Lead design and technical documentation processes for a wide range of building types.
Ensure projects meet deadlines, budget, code compliance, and technical standards.
Oversee and mentor design and production teams throughout all project phases.
Client & Business Development
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Participate in proposals, interviews, and presentations to win new business.
Collaborate with sector leaders on project pursuits and strategic planning.
Serve as Principal-in-Charge on key projects, representing the firm with clients and stakeholders.
Technical & Quality Oversight
Conduct quality reviews to ensure excellence in project documentation and delivery.
Monitor performance metrics, budgets, and schedules across all assigned projects.
Ensure contract compliance and assist in contractor selection and bidding processes.
Resolve complex project issues with creativity and strategic thinking.
Team Management & Mentoring
Assign and manage staff resources effectively.
Collaborate with project managers and designers to deliver high-quality work.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (required)
Registered Architect in New Mexico, or ability to obtain license
10+ years of architectural experience
Proven expertise in construction documentation and detailing
Experience in Public Works, Education, Commercial, or Industrial sectors
Strong leadership and team coordination skills
Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication
Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with SketchUp preferred
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
