Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION: 

The position ensures development integration and integrity of the enterprise suite of  business intelligence tools and provides oversight of the process of integrating analytical content across multiple data models and relational databases.  Focused on enterprise analytical development, this resource is able to develop working relationships with key stakeholders, such as operational leaders, physicians, researchers and other  business partners. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Design scalable and secure data solutions using Microsoft Fabric components (OneLake, Data Factory, Power BI Synapse).

Develop and maintain robust data models, pipelines, and semantic layers to support analytics and reporting.

Lead technical implementation of data platform modernization initiatives, including migration to Fabric.

Collaborate with business analysts and data engineers to translate business needs into data architecture blueprints.

Ensure adherence to data governance, quality, and security standards across projects.

Conduct performance tuning and cost optimization of data workflows and reporting assets.

Provide technical mentorship to architects and engineers; contribute to architectural reviews and standards.

Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree Business, Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems or related field.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION:

Epic Certifications with NVTs to 2015 complete and as follows:

EpicCare Inpatient and Ambulatory Data Models- Strongly recommended

Qlik Sense Certification- strongly recommended

MS SQL Certification – strongly recommended

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

7 years proven experience in data architecture or solution design within BI, analytics, or data engineering domains and hands-on experience with DAX, SQL, and at least one scripting language (Python or Spark).

Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.

Maintains a strong knowledge of clinical and operational business needs

Understands core drivers behind workflow and data flow
