Job Description: Senior Azure Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Specialist to join our team in the USA. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services, strong experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-scale cloud solutions, and the ability to provide strategic guidance on cloud adoption. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, solution architecture, and client-facing communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage Azure-based cloud solutions to support business requirements.
Provide technical leadership in cloud transformation projects and migrations from on-premises to Azure.
Collaborate with stakeholders to assess business needs and translate them into Azure architecture and deployment strategies.
Ensure security, compliance, and governance across all Azure services and resources.
Optimize Azure environments for cost, performance, scalability, and resilience.
Lead troubleshooting, incident management, and performance tuning in Azure environments.
Support and guide development, DevOps, and operations teams in leveraging Azure services (e.g., Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, App Services, Logic Apps, Synapse, Data Factory).
Stay up to date with the latest Azure capabilities and recommend adoption of emerging cloud technologies.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and participate in knowledge-sharing activities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
7+ years of IT experience, with at least 4+ years in Azure cloud architecture and administration.
Strong expertise in Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS offerings.
Hands-on experience with:
- Azure Networking (VNET, VPN, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, Firewall)
- Azure Security (Identity, RBAC, Key Vault, Defender, Security Center)
- Azure Storage and Databases (Blob, SQL, Cosmos DB, Synapse, Data Lake)
- Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (ARM/Bicep/Terraform)
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, AKS) and serverless computing (Functions, Logic Apps).
Proven experience in cloud migrations, hybrid cloud, and modernization projects.
Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC, ISO, GDPR).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.

Preferred Certifications

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
ITIL or other cloud-related certifications (a plus).
