Job Description

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst to work in the Balance Sheet & Interest Rate Risk Management Group (BSIRRM) - Change Management team to assist in analysis and management of balance sheet forecasting and interest rate risk across a variety of applications within the Corporate Treasury division. BSIRRM performs quantitative analysis of the balance sheet behavior and has primary responsibility to measure interest rate risk (IRR) and design corresponding risk mitigation strategies.  Team members oversee the IRR simulation models, provide management with insight concerning changes that they see in the risk profile, and contribute to the generation of risk management strategies.

In this role, you will:

  • Work on Change Management items related to QRM (front and back end-data, technical and operational) data delivery, and/or process automation
  • Own the implementation of various models and model updates through the QRM and data models that support Interest Rate Risk (IRR)
  • Manage and support global treasury activities including funding, liquidity risk management, asset and liability management, capital management, financial performance management, and related activities
  • Monitor and evaluate global market conditions and provide overall advisory on treasury finance risk
  • Be responsible for complex reporting and analytics on treasury finance metrics
  • Ensure accurate recurring deliverables are completed and compliant with various treasury risk management regulatory requirements
  • Ensure data quality and establish controlled processes
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit, Corporate Risk Management and Model Governance teams as well as outside parties including regulatory agencies, accounting and consulting firms
  • Make recommendations to more experienced group members and management
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of QRM (Quantitative Risk Management) system experience (front and back end-data, technical and operational) data delivery, and/or process automation
  • 2+ years of SQL experience and knowledge of how it works within QRM is preferred
  • Experience with market-traded instruments or other Treasury-related products
  • Familiarity with Interest Rate Risk (IRR) and valuation models
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and complex treasury reporting expertise
  • Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, control and risk frameworks
  • Experience in the financial industry and/or public accounting
  • Working toward CFA or CPA
  • Desire to learn new skills and apply those skills in driving the organization forward
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
