Job Description

Position OverviewCG Infinity is seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in SQL and Business Intelligence (BI) to serve as a critical liaison between client stakeholders and technical development teams.This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements while leveraging data to drive decision-making. The ideal candidate excels in stakeholder communication, data analysis, and delivering high-impact insights.Key ResponsibilitiesStakeholder Engagement & Communication

Act as the primary bridge between client business stakeholders and development teams
Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discovery sessions to gather and refine requirements
Translate business needs into clear, concise functional and technical specifications
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring alignment and satisfaction

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

Elicit, document, and validate business and system requirements
Create user stories, process flows, and functional specifications
Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and solution assessments
Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle

Data Analysis & SQL Expertise

Write complex SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data from multiple sources
Perform data profiling, validation, and reconciliation to support business decisions
Collaborate with data engineers and developers to ensure data quality and integrity

Business Intelligence & Reporting

Design and develop dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Translate business questions into data-driven insights and visualizations
Support KPI definition, metric tracking, and executive reporting
Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement

Collaboration with Development Teams

Partner with developers to ensure accurate understanding of requirements
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and agile ceremonies
Support testing efforts, including UAT planning and execution
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data or system issues

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
Advanced proficiency in SQL (complex joins, subqueries, performance tuning)
Strong experience with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Proven ability to gather and document detailed business and technical requirements
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in consulting environments or client-facing roles
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Experience with data modeling and data governance practices
Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or relevant BI certifications
