Job Description
Job Summary:We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Data Analyst focused on data reporting and analytics to join our Business Intelligence team. This key technical role will support management in developing and executing BI strategies that drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance data processes and modernize our business reporting environment. The ideal candidate will have technical proficiency in data engineering, ensuring the efficient delivery of accurate, timely, and actionable insights through advanced BI tools and analytics.This is a remote position working under EST business hours.Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000per yearApplicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.; Kingstone does not currently sponsor individuals for employment-based visas.What you will do:
- Develop and Implement BI Strategy: Support management in the development and execution of a BI and reporting strategy aligned with organizational goals to drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with departments such as Claims, Underwriting/Operations, and Product Management to identify, assess, and prioritize business intelligence needs.
- Dashboard Development and Management: Design, develop, and deliver management dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide actionable business insights. Ensure all reports and dashboards support business users' decision-making process.
- Analytical Dataset Development: Work alongside other analytical teams to build and maintain reliable analytical datasets that support broader business goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive enhancements in reporting processes and data quality to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights for decision-making.
- Regulatory Reporting: Perform quarterly and annual regulatory statistical reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
- Professional Experience: At least 4 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role, with demonstrated growth in responsibilities.
- Industry Expertise: Experience working with a P&C insurance company, ideally with exposure to operational areas such as Underwriting and Claims.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in SQL and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and experience with advanced analytics tools like R or Python is strongly preferred.
- Data Management: In-depth knowledge of data architecture, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Advanced Analytics: Familiarity with predictive modeling, machine learning techniques, and AI applications is valuable.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong business acumen with a thorough understanding of the insurance industry's key metrics, challenges, and opportunities.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, focusing on delivering actionable insights that drive decision-making.
- Project Management: Proven ability to develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation, with a strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to embrace change and implement new solutions effectively.
