Senior Business Process Re-Engineering Specialist
Location: RemoteSecurity Clearance Requirement: National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) IT-II security clearance, Critical-Sensitive*Mission: The Business Systems & Processes team supports DLA's mission by improving the efficiency, reliability, and integration of enterprise business systems. The team analyzes business processes, develops technology solutions, and streamlines operations to ensure critical logistics, supply chain, and financial systems effectively support the Department of Defense and its customers.Position Summary
Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is seeking a Senior Business Process Re-Engineering Specialist who will lead facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, process reengineering across all phases, identifying best practices, change management, business management techniques, organizational development, activity and data modeling, or information system development methods and practices, and supervision of business process reengineering.Key Responsibilities
- Leads facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, process reengineering across all phases.
- Identifying best practices, change management, business management techniques, and organizational development.
- Activity and data modeling, or information system development methods and practices, and supervision of business process re-engineering.
- Applies process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects.
- Duties include activity and data modeling, developing modern business methods, identifying best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements.
- Creates process changes by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating these changes to impacted Business Systems teams.
- Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create frequent business presentations.
- Persuasion skills are critical. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with business and technical personnel at all levels.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Seven (7) years of relevant business process re-engineering experience.
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized authority.
- IAM Level III certification specifically EDI/XML electronic data exchange experience (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology) and a specific logistics function (e.g., finance, supply, contract administration, transportation, and operations research).
- First-hand knowledge of the following: DoD/Component policies, business procedures, business rules, data standards, and transaction standards
- Proven ability to apply process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects.
