If no suitable approved vendors located, suggests vendors to customer to go through the vendor onboarding processQuoting Services 1.Provides quotes for non-catalog or new items 2.Price negotiations for volume purchases 3.Provides budgetary quotes (during budget cycle reviews or for strategic purchases/projects)Strategic Purchases/Projects 1.Helps identify items needed 2.Price negotiations and quoting (RFP, RFQ, RFS) 3.Enhanced tracking of equipment through full receiptStatus/Tracking/RMA Services 1.Provides status and/or tracking information on items purchased 2.Helps locate lost/missing items in transit 3.Helps coordinate RMAsOrganizationally: 1.Maintains list of approved hardware and software 2.Meets regularly with vendors to improve vendor relations, keep costs low, avoid performance dips, and provide better organizational support 3.Communicates with the organization on supply chain issues and/or price volatility 4.Works with platform teams/owners during hardware transitions to ensure no supply chain disruptionsDuties:

• Processes major requests for proposals (RFPs) that are large and complex in nature through the most cost effective means. Develops new opportunities and partnerships for the company.
• 55% Prepares, distributes, receives, analyzes and awards bids using a formal bid process such as Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Bids (RFBs) that are large and complex.
• 35% Manages development of business opportunities and restructures existing supplier partnerships to maximize value and secure cost savings while maximizing profit for the company. Interacts with company staff and management to build relationships to increase company participation in corporate contracts.
