Basin Engineering & Surveying is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for our New Orleans office who is ready to lead projects, mentor engineers, and play an important role in shaping the future of our growing regional presence.
We are a multidisciplinary civil engineering and land surveying firm delivering high-quality solutions across site development, infrastructure, public works, structural engineering, and surveying. Our approach combines technical excellence, practical problem-solving, and strong collaboration with clients and project teams.
As our New Orleans office continues to expand, this role offers an opportunity for an experienced engineer to take ownership of projects while contributing to team development and long-term office growth.

What You'll Do
- Lead civil engineering projects from planning and design through permitting and construction support
- Oversee civil site development and infrastructure design for public and private clients
- Prepare, review, and seal engineering calculations, plans, and technical documents
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, and project stakeholders
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Support quality control and ensure projects meet professional and regulatory standards
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Several years of experience in civil site development and/or infrastructure design
- Strong knowledge of permitting processes and design standards
- Proven ability to lead projects and manage multiple priorities
- Interest in mentoring staff and contributing to team growth
