Job Locations: We focus on the South Charlotte market
We’re looking for a Sr. Climber Arborist with 3–5+ years of advanced climbing experience who can lead by example, mentor the crew, and deliver high-quality, safe, efficient production.

Tree Work:

  • Perform complex climbs, technical rigging, precision removals, and pruning
  • Work from rope & saddle, bucket truck, aerial lift, or crane
  • Follow ANSI A300 & Z133 standards

Safety & Risk Management:

  • Conduct job briefings, hazard assessments, and emergency readiness
  • Lead by example with PPE and safety protocols

Equipment:

  • Operate loaders, stump grinders, chippers, lifts, and crane-assisted setups
  • Use modern climbing and rigging systems (SRT/ DRT, GCRS)
  • Perform daily gear checks and maintenance

Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Coach less experienced climbers and ground crew
  • Support cleanup, stump grinding, planting, hauling

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to get in and out of a vehicle multiple times per day
  • Ability to safely work in adverse and varied weather conditions
  • Ability to safely work in environments containing hazardous or poisonous plants, and wildlife, including insects, reptiles, and other naturally occurring hazards
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively throughout the day
  • Ability to perform physical labor in moderate to high difficulty range 40-55 hours per week

Qualifications:

  • VALID Driver’s License (required)
  • CDL preferred
  • 3+ years professional climbing experience
  • Ability to pass pre-employment & random drug testing
  • ISA, TRAQ, CTSP preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

  • W2 Hourly (Paid Weekly) + Overtime
  • Defined qualification and compensation levels based on Career Pathways standards
  • Climbing Arborist I: $30/hour
  • Climbing Arborist II: $32/ hour
  • Climbing Arborist III: $35/ hour
