Job Description
As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Regard, you’ll scale and evolve the infrastructure powering our healthcare AI platform. You’ll design, build, and own systems that enable engineers to ship quickly, reliably, and securely across both cloud-native and customer-hosted environments.
This is a highly impactful, engineering-focused role where you’ll drive technical direction across infrastructure, deployment architecture, observability, reliability, and developer experience. As a senior engineer, you’ll lead critical initiatives end-to-end, influence infrastructure strategy, mentor other engineers, and help define how modern cloud infrastructure is built and operated at Regard.

Our Tech Stack:
Backend: Python (FastAPI, Flask), PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery
Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), AWS (SQS, SNS), GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, DataDog, OpenTelemetry, Pulumi
Responsibilities:
Own the architecture, reliability, and scalability of the infrastructure powering Regard’s healthcare AI platform
Design and build internal platform capabilities, CI/CD systems, and automation that improve developer velocity and reduce operational toil
Build and maintain scalable Kubernetes-based infrastructure in AWS across both internal and customer-hosted environments
Drive improvements in observability, monitoring, incident response, and overall system reliability across the engineering organization
Strengthen Regard’s infrastructure security posture by implementing best practices, controls, and remediation strategies
Lead technical initiatives end-to-end, influence infrastructure strategy, and mentor engineers across the team
Minimum Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience/certifications
5+ years of experience in an infrastructure, devops, site reliability, or similar role
3+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience
Proficiency with Python scripting
Deep experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi)
Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and tooling (e.g., GitLab CI)
Proficiency with observability systems (e.g., DataDog, OpenTelemetry)
Practical experience leveraging AI coding tools in day-to-day software development (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Codex)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST)
Expertise with GitOps tools (e.g., ArgoCD, FluxCD)
Passion for leveraging AI in engineering and healthcare
Hybrid Work | Location | Work Authorization
For this role, Regard is currently only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship, and are within the New York City, Los Angeles, or San Francisco metro areas
Our expectation for this role is to be in the office 2 days per week. We also require more frequent in-office work during the onboarding period and team onsite weeks up to once per month.

Additionally, hybrid employees have the flexibility to work from locations outside of their home office from up to 6 weeks per year
