Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced strategic and collaborative internal communications professional to drive the development and execution of impactful corporate communications strategies as part of a dynamic; results oriented with the First Horizon Corporate Communications Team. This role is instrumental in delivering critical information that supports key business objectives, cultivates associate engagement and understanding of primary drivers and reinforces our commitment to an exceptional client experience. Partnering closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, this role is responsible for creation and delivery of clear, consistent and compelling communications through different channels that strengthens associate alignment, guides through organizational change and promotes a high-performing culture.

Candidates should demonstrate expertise in building communications strategies, remaining nimble while managing change and complex projects under tight deadlines, problem solving capabilities, creative thinking skills, embracing collaboration and teamwork and understanding the importance of keeping associates and leaders informed, connected and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Develops an understanding of company goals and departmental goals and initiatives.
  • Develop communications strategies to deliver targeted results.
  • Build and maintain solid partnerships with key internal stakeholders, gain insights into departmental priorities and develop a proactive communications plan to address goals.
  • Manage and track budget items.

Content Creation and Storytelling

  • Develop and write high quality company newsletters, leadership communications, presentations, Intranet copywriting and editing while adhering to the company's brand and corporate narrative.
  • Develops content and directs creative execution to provide consistent, concise and impactful messages while collaborating and strategizing with multiple teams across the company.
  • Create executive bios, leadership award nominations and video scripts and assist with storyboards for internal pre-video production.
  • Contributes thought leadership content for internal news channels.

SharePoint / Intranet Communication

  • Drive increased adoption and engagement with SharePoint and company newsletters.
  • Develop and manage the internal communication content calendar.

Change Management

  • Develop communications for key change initiatives, ensuring clear and timely messaging that supports and guides associates through change and transformation

Performance Measurement

  • Monitor the progress of various communications strategies while tracking KPIs to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Produce monthly internal reports and presentations by evaluating success metrics, trends and feedback mechanisms.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with associates across different departments to gather feedback, understand priorities and ensure communications meet stakeholder needs.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in communications, journalism, marketing, business administration, public relations, Master's degree a plus.
  • Proven experience (7-10+ years) of communications experience-ideally within the financial services, banking or retail sectors.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking with the ability to prioritize content and align communications initiatives with business objectives.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders at all levels and provide strategic counsel to senior executives.
  • Proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess the effectiveness of communication and engagement through data analysis and feedback, driving actionable improvements.
  • A team player with a natural desire to strive for excellence.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Agility in a fast-paced environment and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience supporting change management communications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
