Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Counsel - Business Attorney to join our growing corporate and transactional practice in Omaha, NE. This is a full-time, in-person position and is ideal for an attorney with a strong private-practice background who enjoys advising closely held and middle-market businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise business owners on succession planning and ownership transitions
- Manage entity formation, restructuring, and governance matters
- Lead and support mergers and acquisitions
- Serve as a trusted business advisor to clients
- Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate across practice areas
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; active bar admission
- Minimum of 6 years of private practice experience
- Demonstrated experience working with closely held businesses, including succession planning, governance, and M&A
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Must be currently licensed in Nebraska or eligible to become licensed; Other state licenses (especially in states within our footprint) while not required, will be considered.
