JOB OVERVIEW
MartinFed is seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Compliance Support Lead to support cybersecurity compliance efforts across Navy and DoD environments. This role requires deep expertise in information assurance, vulnerability management, and compliance inspections. You will interpret DoD cybersecurity policies, lead compliance activities, and support Afloat stakeholders in maintaining secure and compliant systems. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential to succeed in this role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lead and support Navy Cybersecurity Compliance Inspections and related readiness activities
- Apply advanced knowledge of information technology security to assess system vulnerabilities and risks
- Research and analyze Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts/Bulletins/Technical Advisories (IAVA/B/T)
- Evaluate vulnerabilities across Windows and Linux operating systems and associated components
- Support vulnerability incident reporting and tracking
- Execute tasks within the DoD Assessment & Authorization (A&A) process
- Review and provide expert feedback on DoD information assurance documents, orders, and instructions
- Interpret DoD cybersecurity policies and regulations (e.g., 8500 series, 5200 series) for Afloat stakeholders
- Develop command-level cybersecurity policies, procedures, and documentation
- Utilize DoD cybersecurity tools including VRAM, eMASS, and ESS
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation using Microsoft Office products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel
QUALIFICATIONS
- U.S. Citizen with an active SECRET clearance
- Experience in information technology security
- Meets DoD 8570.01-M requirements for IAM Level III (or equivalent)
- Experience conducting or participating in Navy Cybersecurity Compliance Inspections
- Experience with IAVA/B/T research and vulnerability analysis
- Familiarity with vulnerabilities affecting Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with the DoD A&A process
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience using DoD IA tools such as VRAM, eMASS, and ESS
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting Afloat cybersecurity programs
- Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity governance and compliance frameworks
- Experience developing cybersecurity policies and procedures at the command level
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
- Working on a computer for long periods of time.
- May involve long period of sitting at a desk.
- The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures.
