Job Description

We have a one-year, remote, Senior Database Administrator contract opportunity in Jackson, MS, with the possibility of a one-year extension. The anticipated start date is April 1, 2026.

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior ADABAS administrator to collaborate with other ADABAS administrators to support MACWIS and other applications supported by our client.

Minimum Qualifications

10 Years of experience with Software AG products, ADABAS, Natural, Natural One, Predict, Construct, ADABAS Replication, Treehouse tcVision, WebMethods EntireX, CONNX SQL gateway, ApplinX, Natural AJAX.
10 Years of experience analyzing user requirements and designs along with testing, implementing and performing quality assurance of information systems utilizing Natural One, ADABAS, MVS/JCL, COBOL/CICS, VSAM files, Linux/zLinux, Espsoft/SCL, Informix, and UNIX.
3 Years of experience advising on system architecture, and developing, maintaining, and updating documentation for procedures, policies, and processes.
2 Years of knowledge and experience of SNAP, TANF, eligibility, economic assistance, and child welfare policies and procedures, and implementing state and federal mandates in Linux systems.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience with Jira and KACE ITSM systems
Experience with SCRUM/iteration methodologies
Experience modernizing legacy applications
Experience with child welfare workflows and systems and related federal requirements
