Job Description

Title: Senior DesignerLocation: Hammond, INHire Type: Direct OR ContractCompensation: $80K-$90KBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K Must have Skill Set: P&ID's

Overview:

Completes layouts from simple to complex projects independently.
Detail non-standard conditions perform simple calculations and measurements and prepares material and documents as required.
Responsible for design criteria and order of work.
Corrects any errors or inconsistencies or design flaws that may be found during the checking process and immediately advises the Lead Engineer.
Produces 3D models and complete drawings from moderate to complex work.
Address and resolve any design issues or concerns that arise beginning with the planning and through the construction phases.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of related experience

Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and structural analysis tools. AutoDesk Products such as AEC, Revit, and Advance Steel.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze and design the skeletal framework of various structures.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and present findings.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in designs and plans.
Industry Codes: Demonstrates aptitude to learn and understand applicable codes required within discipline.
