Job Description
The Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer (Azure) is responsible for leading and enhancing the DevOps and Cloud Engineering processes across the company. This role focuses on implementing incremental software changes to optimize marketing, sales, and service delivery, while ensuring high-velocity deployment of software. Key Responsibilities:
- Owns the complete DevOps engineering architecture and continuously adapts it across the organization.
- Provides technical oversight for a team of 3-4 DevOps and Cloud Engineers implementing changes.
- Ensures technical compliance with design patterns and software standards within the team.
- Leads the development of CI/CD pipelines for on-premise and cloud-based solutions.
- Evaluates and selects technologies to support CI/CD processes across all ADSD teams.
- Creates strategies for SCM merges, builds, code scanning, deployment, and automation.
- Improves the agile software change management function enterprise-wide.
- Creates detailed technical designs to expand DevOps and Cloud capabilities.
- Executes a roadmap for on-premise containerization and serverless cloud architecture.
- Adapts organizational designs to align with evolving DevOps and Cloud technologies.
- Directs team members in managing product and sprint backlogs to meet deliverables.
- Accountable for accelerating team delivery velocity through effective resource management.
- Guides teams in practical discovery, design, scripting and development activities.
- Manages hiring, performance evaluation, coaching, and training of direct reports.
- Estimates new work demands and allocates resources to meet DevOps and Cloud needs.
- Ensures compliance with data security and regulatory standards.
- M.S. in Computer Science; less than a Master's degree may be acceptable with relevant certifications or extensive experience.
- Typically requires at least 15 years as a technical lead of a similar size DevOps and Cloud engineering team.
- Typically requires 7 years as a technical lead for a DevOps and Cloud engineering team utilizing Scrum and supporting tools.
- Works in an office setting with long periods of stationary desk work.
- Requires substantial movement of wrist, hands, and fingers for continuous computer work.
- Quarterly on-site travel to multiple locations including White Plains, NY, Fremont MI, and Cincinnati, OH.
- Extended hours may be required during peak workloads or special projects.
- On-call support will be needed periodically to address business needs.
