Senior Devops Engineer

We're seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the scalability, reliability, and operational excellence of our cloud-based SaaS pharmacy procurement platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys automation, cloud engineering, and building systems that empower development teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently. As part of a cross-functional product team, you will partner with developers, QA, and IT to maintain cloud infrastructure, improve deployment pipelines, and enhance observability across environments. Responsibilities: Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and deployment. Assist in managing cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), ensuring performance, cost-efficiency, and stability. Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Monitor application and system health using logging, metrics, and alerting tools. Support environment provisioning, configuration management, and automation of routine operational tasks. Work with engineering teams to ensure smooth deployment and release processes. Manage and maintain containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes). Maintain security best practices across cloud environments, including IAM, secrets management, and network configuration. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues across development, staging, and production environments. Stay current with new tools, technologies, and DevOps best practices to support ongoing platform improvements. Desired Education and Experience Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and ECS. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.). Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar). Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration concepts. Understanding of networking fundamentals, security principles, and cloud architecture best practices. Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, pharmacy, finance) preferred but not required. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work collaboratively in Agile teams. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Evaluation and Process Improvement: Annual performance reviews and goal setting. Expected to contribute recommendations for process and operational improvements. Job Location: Remote office. Travel is expected at least once per year for an onsite company meeting.
