Job Summary:

This is a Global Digital Product Owner role focused on managing the development and support of the CAT Foresight CVA and Planned Maintenance products.

Provides day-to-day support to design and development teams, Cat Foresight users and field service staff in relation to product implementation, customization, questions, and problems.

Cat Foresight is digital product tool suite of operational technologies focused enabling lead generation services and fleet/equipment management services.

• Focus is on defining, redesigning and driving the development of a redesigned fleet manager workflow and experience in Cat Foresight

• speed of insights retrieval

• task automation

• application integration

• reduce redundant tasks

• AI enablement

• Lead and support the design and development work coming out of FM discovery sprints (aka Project Delicious)

• Drive new Cat Foresight product innovations:

• CAT AI Assistant for Fleet Managers

• Asset timeline/lifeline initiative

• Fleet Manager hot sheet/landing page initiative

• FM Compass dashboard

• Preparation of engineering ready features - epics, features, acceptance criteria, user testing, launch to users, documentation and user communications

• Close teamwork, collaboration and alignment with

• US and Slovakia based Cat Foresight product managers and owner

• Engineering teams based in Slovakia, India

• Stakeholders in Resource Industries

• Cat Foresight Program Management

• Cat Dealers and Job Site Solutions teams

• Cat Digital Dealer Adoption division

• Fleet manager counsel

What You Will Do:

• Close collaboration and active engagement with digital product managers, Cat Foresight users and development teams and CAT Digital Support.
• Identify opportunities to improve user workflow, user experience and user driven innovations
• Translation of business requirements into technical requirements, acceptance criteria, UI changes
• Support prioritization of product backlog features
• Support activities to enable user adoption and growth
• Driving the development timeline of product strategic roadmap, continuous improvement and integration features
• Proactive support to drive timely product quality improvements
• Identification and documentation of bug features
• Tier 2 level hand up support

What You Will Have:

This role requires a combination of technical, business and interpersonal skills.

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Extensive knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Effective Communications: Extensive understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Software Change Request Management: Extensive knowledge of software change request management; ability to manage software product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.
• Software Problem Management: Working knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for resolving software problems; ability to manage software problems in installed software products.
• Software Product Business Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Extensive knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-users.

Considerations for Top Candidates:

• Bachelors and/or Masters degree in IT related subject

• Industrial domain expertise:

• Services contract management

• Equipment management

• Maintenance planning

• Practical working knowledge of Cat Foresight product toolset (specific working knowledge of CVA and Planned Maintenance product)

• Familiarity with Cat Digital Ecosystem, Cat business processes, Cat dealer aftermarket services execution processes

• Comfortable working with Offshore teams and remote employees

• Familiarity with AI

• Career Experiences:

• Application development and /or digital product owner (typically 3-5 years)

• Driving and working with digital/software development teams, UI design teams

• Experience engaging with Cat dealer users (collecting VOD, solutioning)

• Demonstrated and proven skills:

• Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with cross functional teams

• Concise and clear communication skills

• Design and creation of user workflow diagrams

• Critical thinking and problem solving

• Waterfall and Agile development

• Demonstrated software development expertise

• AHA, AZDO, Figma, WhatFix, Confluence

• Designing user experience and workflows

• Leading development meetings

• Creating business and technical requirements

• Resolving product quality issues and providing product support

• User acceptance testing

• Ability to read code

• Exposure to AWS tech stack

• Travel Expectations: 10% globally

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $183,140.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
