Job Description
- Discover: Generate and qualify both high-value technology partnering and strategic RNA discovery service opportunities across various GMED target audiences, contributing to a balanced portfolio of partners aligned with GMED’s strategy.
- Innovate: Develop and refine custom pitch decks, capability and solution statements, and case studies that translate complex scientific offerings into actionable partner solutions.
- Execute: Manage the sales funnel for GMED-focused opportunities, maintaining the CRM as the single source of truth for lead progression, pipeline health, and revenue forecasting.
- Collaborate: Partner with internal delivery teams—including the Scientific Team, Alliance Management, Office of Partnerships, and the Chief Business Officer—to ensure a seamless transition from “sold” to “active project.”
- Negotiate: Support and lead commercial processes for RFPs, MSAs, MTAs, and SOWs for GMED-aligned opportunities.
- Prospect for and advance new business opportunities, including technology licensing deals and RNA medicine discovery service sales, across various GMED target markets to support divisional revenue targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners and influencers across relevant audiences, contributing to a steady stream of qualified partnering opportunities.
- Lead the end-to-end process for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including drafting technical content and coordinating with scientific leads for GMED-aligned prospects.
- Provide regular reporting to the CEO on the partnering pipeline, projected revenue, and other decision-quality KPIs, including visibility into partner mix and opportunity scope.
- Conduct discovery sessions with prospective partners to translate scientific and strategic needs into tailored GMED offerings.
- Represent the division at key industry conferences and networking events relevant to GMED audiences.
- Partner with Legal to support the negotiation of Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and other core contracts aligned to GMED opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing to manage and refresh sales enablement materials, ensuring all collateral remains current, compelling, and aligned with GMED and Alloy positioning.
- Degree (preferably Ph.D.) in life sciences, biochemistry, chemistry, chemical or biomedical engineering, or similar
- Proven track record in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, or Commercial Operations within the Biotech or Life Sciences sector.
- 10+ years of overall biotech industry experience, with 6+ years in Business Development, Sales, Commercial Operations, or Strategic Partnerships.
- Experience supporting and leading complex contract negotiations and managing the full sales lifecycle for service-based or platform offerings.
- Strong scientific fluency with the ability to bridge technical teams and commercial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and executive-level reporting.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex science into clear commercial narratives.
- Ability to work across U.S. and international time zones and ability to travel for the role.

Pay TransparencyAt Alloy Therapeutics, we believe in fostering trust and open communication. For this role, the estimated annual compensation range is $200,000 - $250,000 with the final offer based on factors like your experience, skills, and alignment with our needs.
Additionally, this role is eligible for equity compensation, reflecting our commitment to shared success as we work together to make better medicines.
