The Senior Director, Global Markets Communications serves as the communications leader for HP's Go-to-Market organization, partnering closely with Marketing leadership and Market Managing Directors to drive alignment, engagement, and business impact through strategic communications. This role is responsible for connecting compelling narratives to business outcomes - fueling revenue growth, reinforcing brand relevance, and sharpening HP's competitive edge with customers, partners, and key stakeholders worldwide.

The Senior Director is responsible for developing and executing communications strategies that support HP's commercial priorities across regions and markets, ensuring leaders and employees are informed, aligned, and equipped to execute business objectives. Serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, this individual translates complex business strategies into clear, compelling, and actionable communications that drive understanding, engagement, and results.

The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator, trusted advisor, and experienced people leader who can build strong partnerships across a global organization and lead high-impact communications programs that advance business priorities and strengthen stakeholder confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated communications strategies that support HP's Go-to-Market priorities, business objectives, and growth initiatives across global markets.
  • Partner closely with Marketing leadership, Market Managing Directors, and senior business leaders to align communications with commercial priorities and organizational goals.
  • Serve as trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders, providing communications counsel based on business priorities, organizational initiatives, and local market strategies.
  • Translate complex business strategies, priorities, and market dynamics into clear, compelling narratives that drive understanding, alignment, and action among employees, customers, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead compelling external communications programs that strengthen HP's brand relevance, support revenue growth objectives, and enhance stakeholder confidence.
  • Drive communications strategies that support market activations, commercial campaigns, customer engagement initiatives, and key business milestones in partnership with Marketing and Corporate Affairs teams.
  • Establish communications priorities, governance, and operating rhythms that improve consistency, coordination, and effectiveness across markets and regions.
  • Leverage insights, analytics, and stakeholder feedback to measure communications effectiveness and continuously optimize strategies and programs.
  • Lead a high-performing global communications team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships, budgets, and resources to maximize business impact and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, executive communications, public relations, marketing communications, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years supporting C-suite or senior business leaders through executive communications, strategic messaging, and thought leadership.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting commercial, sales, go-to-market, or revenue-generating organizations within a large global enterprise.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate effectively in a highly matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading communications across global organizations, including managing strategies, stakeholders, and teams spanning multiple regions, cultures, and time zones.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with senior business leaders to develop communications strategies that advance commercial objectives, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and drive organizational alignment.
  • Experience working within the technology industry or another complex, matrixed multinational organization.
  • Proven ability to navigate diverse cultural, business, and market environments, tailoring communications approaches to resonate with regional and local audiences while maintaining global consistency.
  • Strong understanding of global market dynamics and the role communications plays in supporting growth, brand relevance, and business impact.

The pay range for this role is$190,950to$305,550USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
