We’re hiring a full-time Senior Director, Multifamily Development & Finance for our Multifamily Housing Division.

As a Senior Director, you will provide strategic leadership for New Hampshire Housing’s multifamily financing work guiding projects, shaping program direction, and ensuring strong execution. In this role, you will:

  • Provide high‑level decision‑making oversight of the underwriting process, guiding project screening and selection and recommending commitments of tax credits and capital resources. Offer strategic recommendations to the Managing Director to ensure programs and projects align with organizational goals.
  • Build strong, effective relationships with developers, consultants, and local, state, and federal partners. Serve as the primary spokesperson for NH Housing’s multifamily programs, clearly communicating positions and decisions to external stakeholders.
  • Cultivate productive working relationships with the Multifamily Committee and Board of Directors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Support the development and enhancement of new and existing programs, identifying opportunities for growth and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a high‑performing team culture through coaching, performance management, and development opportunities that motivate staff and drive individual and organizational success.

To support onboarding and training, the initial weeks of employment will be conducted in-office. Following this period, remote work may be available on an intermittent basis, as determined by the manager.

Your experience, skills, and education should include:

  • Expert knowledge of federal and state affordable housing programs, including regulatory and compliance requirements preferred.
  • Strong ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with the public, as well as with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong supervisory skills.
  • Strong ability to make decisions.
  • Masters degree or at least five years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
