The anticipated salary for this position is $180k to 210k annually with a potential of 32% annual incentive bonus.

Summary

The Senior Director, Finance Transformation, is responsible for leading the strategic evolution of the finance function to support business growth, operational excellence, and value creation across a complex distribution and products organization. This leader will develop and execute a multi-year finance transformation roadmap focused on process standardization, technology modernization, organizational effectiveness, data and analytics, and enhanced business decision support.

The role serves as a key partner to Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, Procurement, and IT leaders to drive enterprise-wide initiatives that improve financial performance, scalability, reporting capabilities, controls, and customer service while reducing complexity and cost.

Core Responsibilities

Finance Transformation Strategy

  • Develop and lead the enterprise finance transformation strategy aligned with corporate objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance effectiveness, efficiency, scalability, and business partnership capabilities.
  • Build and maintain a multi-year roadmap across people, process, technology, data, and governance dimensions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the SVP, Finance/CFO on transformation priorities and investment decisions.
  • Process Excellence and Operating Model Design
  • Lead MDM, data governance, and transactional enhancements from a Finance perspective which should result in: end-to-end documentation/redesign support of processes including: 
  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
  • Order-to-Cash (O2C)

  • Forecast-to-Plan (F2P)

  • Cost Accounting

  • Allocation methodology and reporting

  • Financial system map/design

Other possible areas/processes for improvement or documentation

  • Support design process owner framework
  • Implement best practices, automation, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Systems and Digital Enablement

  • Partner with IT and business leaders to modernize the finance technology landscape.
  • Lead ERP optimization initiatives.

Drive adoption of technologies including: 

  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions
  • Improve data quality, reporting consistency, and enterprise decision-making capabilities.

Financial Planning and Analytics

  • Improve visibility into profitability by customer, product, channel, distribution center, and geography.
  • Promote data-driven decision making throughout the organization.

Program Leadership and Change Management

  • Drive organizational adoption through structured change management and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Build transformation capabilities and continuous improvement culture across finance teams.

Talent and Leadership

  • Coach finance leaders on process excellence, digital capabilities, and change leadership.
  • Foster a culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifying Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent advanced certification preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
  • 5+ years leading large-scale finance transformation programs.
  • Experience within distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, consumer products, industrial products, healthcare products, or supply chain-intensive industries.
  • Demonstrated success leading ERP implementations/enhancements and finance modernization initiatives.
  • Experience managing large cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide projects.

Technical Expertise- Deep understanding of: 

  • Financial planning and analysis
  • Accounting and controllership processes
  • Supply chain finance
  • Inventory and cost accounting
  • Shared services operations
  • Business process redesign
  • Program and project management

-    Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or other major enterprise systems.-    Strong knowledge of business intelligence and analytics tools.
