Job Description

About Vantage Data Centers

Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects and connects the technology of the world's well-known hyperscalers, cloud providers and large enterprises. Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands.

Product Department

The Product team at Vantage defines and stewards our global product platform: the customer outcomes we aim to deliver, the reference designs and standards that make delivery repeatable, and the closed-loop learning that turns each deployment into an upgrade for the next. We do this in partnership with Engineering, Delivery, Operations, Sustainability, Sales, Site Selection, and Business Development, aligning priorities and trade-offs while preserving clear functional ownership for design execution, construction delivery, and site operations. Product's role is to create clarity, consistency, and leverage at Vantage scale.

Position overview

Vantage is building a product platform approach for data center delivery: repeatable reference designs, governed variants, and a closed-loop learning system that turns each deployment into an upgrade for the next.

The Senior Director, Product Management leads our global platform Product Management team and owns the platform product portfolio direction, defining "what we build and why." This role builds and develops a high-performing team of Product Managers and Senior Product Managers, and partners across Engineering, Industrialized Delivery, Product Operations, and regional Product Deployment teams to translate strategy into deployable releases and measurable business outcomes.

What you'll do

  • Lead, hire, and develop a world-class platform Product Management team, with a strong focus on coaching, mentoring, and raising the quality bar across product craft and decision-making.

  • Own the platform product portfolio and multi-year roadmap, ensuring it is aligned to customer value, delivery constraints, and long-term asset performance.

  • Define and evolve product offers, reference designs, and intentional variants to enable repeatable delivery at scale while avoiding bespoke divergence.

  • Establish clear decision frameworks and lightweight governance for standards, variants, and deviations, with crisp trade-offs and decision hygiene that accelerates execution.

  • Partner with Product Engineering and Industrialized Delivery to ensure modularization, design-for-manufacturing-and-assembly (DfMA), and integration patterns are treated as platform capabilities with clear product intent.

  • Work with Product Deployment leaders (North America, EMEA, APAC) to ensure the platform roadmap interlocks with project interception and adoption plans, and that field learnings translate into prioritized platform improvements.

  • Partner with Product Performance and Operations to define outcomes and success measures that guide prioritization and demonstrate impact across cost, schedule, readiness, adoption, and operational performance.

What success looks like

  • A clear, decision-ready platform roadmap and portfolio that enables predictable delivery and scales across regions with governed variants.

  • A high-performing Product Management team that operates as owners of outcomes, with strong coaching rhythms, consistent expectations, and measurable improvement in decision quality and throughput.

  • Faster decisions with fewer exceptions, reduced rework driven by late changes, and a healthier closed-loop learning system where deployment and operations signals become shipped platform improvements.

What we're looking for

  • 12+ years of product leadership experience in scaled, capital-intensive or mission-critical environments (data centers, cloud infrastructure, industrial systems, energy, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or similar).

  • Demonstrated experience hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing Product Managers, including setting a high bar and building durable team culture and operating rhythms.

  • Track record of owning a platform portfolio and roadmap, operating with standards plus governed variants, and making clear trade-offs across cost, schedule, risk, and customer outcomes.

  • Strong technical and commercial fluency: able to translate delivery and operational realities into product decisions and communicate them crisply to executive stakeholders.

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, creating clarity, and driving alignment across a highly matrixed organization.

Preferred

  • Hyperscale data center experience across design, delivery, commissioning, operations, or productization of reference designs and standard systems.

  • Experience with modularization, prefabrication, DfMA, and industrialized delivery practices.

  • Experience working in a federated global model, partnering effectively with regional deployment teams while maintaining a single platform direction.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $240,000 - $260,000 + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
