Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the development, testing, fabrication, and fielding of highly complex military systems and equipment. This role involves electrical system design, analysis, integration, and testing activities supporting advanced combat vehicle, weapon system, and guided munition programs.
The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical engineering fundamentals, experience with analog and digital circuit design, and the ability to support complex military product development efforts in a collaborative engineering environment.
- Research, plan, design, develop, modify, and evaluate electrical and electronic systems and components
- Support electrical system design activities for military systems including combat vehicles, gun systems, and guided munitions
- Perform detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and complete electrical systems
- Develop product specifications, technical documentation, simulations, and technical data packages
- Create and review electrical schematics, interconnect drawings, and interface control documentation
- Support hardware integration, verification, troubleshooting, and testing activities
- Perform circuit simulations using tools such as PSpice or LTspice
- Evaluate vendor technologies, capabilities, and product offerings
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams including Systems, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Software Engineering
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, analyses, and engineering documentation
- Support product integration and fielding activities as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 2 years with a Master’s degree required
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis
- Experience developing technical documentation including engineering drawings, reports, and technical analyses
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical schematics and interconnect drawings
- Ability to create and manage interface control documentation
- Experience performing circuit simulation using PSpice or LTspice
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with military and commercial design standards
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, and LabVIEW
- Experience with programming languages such as C, C#, or LabWindows/CVI
- Working knowledge of OrCAD, Visio, and schematic/layout design tools
- Experience designing systems for high EMI environments
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering and manufacturing processes
- Experience designing wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for military systems
- Experience integrating FPGA technologies and electronic control logic
- Experience with power generation, conversion, and storage systems
- Experience supporting ammunition handling/loading systems, autoloaders, or large caliber rammer systems preferred

Pay Range: $58.00 - $63.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
