The Wet Process Manufacturing Engineering Senior Lead Engineer role at Micron is a high-impact leadership opportunity in Boise, Idaho. The position is developed for an experienced leader who has successfully directed engineering leaders across several teams and driven central initiatives in a complex manufacturing context.

As a Senior Engineer Lead, Manufacturing Engineering- Wet Process, you will empower and develop a team of leaders while encouraging a culture where people feel safe to contribute, question assumptions, and take ownership. You will demonstrate the behaviors of a unified, high-performing team by promoting clarity, healthy discussion, mutual accountability, and shared dedication to results. Through your leadership, teams will work with trust, collaborate effectively across different fields, and continuously improve how they work together to meet the challenges of a changing manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion a proactive safety culture by mentoring engineering leads to embed EHS and PHA guidelines into daily operations.

  • Encourage and guide engineering leads to develop their current leadership skills and technical expertise.

  • Coordinate planning for process and operational performance improvements, including reducing variability and minimizing unplanned production interruptions.

  • Provide oversight and mentorship on project prioritization and resource allocation to improve impact and mitigate risk.

  • Lead performance management for engineering leads, including goal setting, feedback, and succession planning.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven capability to guide technical teams toward achieving demanding objectives.

  • Expertise in managing and mentoring team performance.

  • Advanced understanding of manufacturing requirements and processes.

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of industry experience working as a Wet Process Engineer in a leadership capacity

  • Willingness to travel internationally for onboarding and training purposes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Established skill in managing and directing meetings, encouraging productive follow-up activities.

  • Outstanding partnering, negotiation, and teamwork skills.

  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to coordinate efforts across diverse groups.

  • Multi-tasking of complex projects efficiently with strong communication skills.

  • Previous leadership experience in a similar role.
