Executive Summary
- We are looking to fill a Senior Enterprise Data Analyst role for a Washington, DC client that supports federal data management and advanced analytics projects. The ideal candidate will be a Washington, DC resident who possesses an active BI or NACLC Public Trust security clearance, a bachelor's degree, and 7 years of experience. Preferred candidates will have strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, organizational, and project management skills, as well as experience in a matrix structure and communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- As a Senior Enterprise Data Analyst with SAS/Tableau experience, you will support federal data management and advanced analytics projects. Your responsibilities will include creating reports and dashboards, querying databases, performing data quality assurance, and providing ETL support.
- You will join our client's team as one of the senior SAS/Tableau developers for the Enterprise Analytics project to address business intelligence challenges. The position requires deep technical expertise in SQL, BI tools, ETL, and data profiling. The ideal candidate will be a confident leader, experienced in performing daily tasks, and a critical thinker and self-starter who takes ownership of assignments. Previous consulting experience using an Agile delivery methodology is a plus.
Position Responsibilities:
- Extract data from a variety of sources, such as relational databases, EDW, and Foundry, for use in analysis.
- Engage with operational business stakeholders to identify key initiatives and execute solutions to business problems using data analysis and advanced analytics.
- Perform quality assurance of reporting and dashboard deliverables to ensure the quality of both data and analysis.
- Work collaboratively to align business requirements with data and analytical solutions while empowering businesses to draw insights and analyze data while Identifying areas of concern of as-is processes and business dependencies.
- Coordinating and facilitating requirement gathering, playing an active role in the discovery, analysis, value validation, design, and testing phases.
- Ideate with functional analysts and business process owners.
- Monitors changes in business, making recommendations where analytics can further improve business.
- Create Tableau-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Document development for peer reference and knowledge transfer.
- Propose solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges.
Position Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Security Clearance: Must possess active BI or NACLC Public Trust security clearance
- Bachelor's degree with 7 years preferred experience with strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, organizational, and project management skills,
- Experience in a matrix structure and communicating with technical and non-technical people,
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations that simplify complex solutions/insights for non-technical audiences is a must,
- Excellent innovation, interpersonal, and communication skills required,
- At least 5 years of work experience in an analytical role,
- Extensive experience with SAS development, including using SAS/Macro, Data Step, and SAS/Access.
- Experience in Enterprise Guide and Enterprise Miner/SAS Data Mining procedures a plus.
- Strong SQL skills and Tableau development experience.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work as a collaborative team, mentoring and training the client on the various tools and techniques to build a complete Analytics solution.
- Experience with Jira in managing tasks and a good understanding of the Agile process.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment and take the initiative to learn new tools quickly.
- Must have good communication and writing skills.
- Leadership qualities, with forward-thinking.
- The ability to show the future and benefits of analytics activities to the client.
Position Desired Skills:
- Extensive experience in Tableau dashboard design and development.
- Quality assurance and validation experience, specifically comparing multiple data sources for discrepancies and inconsistencies.
