Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist
Portage, MI

Work Flexibility:Hybrid: candidates must reside within commuting distance of Portage, MI and be able to work onsite several days per week.
What You Will Do
- Provide environmental compliance subject matter expertise for the Neurosurgical product portfolio, supporting products from development through commercialization.
- Interpret and apply U.S. and international environmental regulations to ensure compliance across multiple product lines and markets.
- Plan and execute environmental compliance activities for new product development to achieve on‑time compliant product launches.
- Translate regulatory requirements into clear, actionable design and documentation requirements aligned to project scope and target markets.
- Serve as the primary internal resource for environmental compliance questions, providing timely guidance to engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
- Author, review, and approve environmental compliance documentation to support regulatory readiness and audits.
- Partner with suppliers to collect compliance data and deliver training or education as needed to support compliant materials and components.
- Identify compliance risks early and implement solutions to maintain product timelines and regulatory alignment.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in environmental compliance, quality compliance, regulatory compliance, or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting medical devices or regulated products.
- Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. and international environmental regulations applicable to manufactured products.
- Project management skills
$72,500 - $120,900 USD Annual
