Senior Estimator (Best In Class Commercial Construction Firm)

As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and market conditions. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure comprehensive and precise estimates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks and optimize cost efficiency.
• Maintain and update a comprehensive database of costs, labor rates, and vendor pricing.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators and support their professional development.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and present estimates to management and clients.
• Stay informed of industry trends, materials, and labor market conditions to enhance estimating accuracy.
• Review and negotiate subcontractor proposals and pricing.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in construction estimating.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and codes.
• Proficient in estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements in the construction industry.
