Job Description

Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a versatile Field Events Technologist to oversee our Field Event Technology Systems and enhance customer experiences. As a key member of Global Events, you will collaborate with field event teams and stakeholders, serving as the internal expert on digital and in-person event technologies focusing on registration, content management, mobile applications, and onsite tools.
  • In this role, you will act as both a subject matter expert and a product owner, devising creative solutions to meet evolving business needs. Your extensive technical expertise and project management experience will ensure that field events deliver exceptional and seamless experiences to customers.
  • With cross-functional engagement across the company, you will gain a unique perspective, identifying synergies and opportunities to optimize event technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with field events and marketing teams to develop innovative digital experiences across proprietary and third-party platforms.
  • Program Analysis: Review existing event programs and deployments, extracting insights to enhance best practices and digital tools.
  • Standardization & Best Practices: Develop consistent technical standards that align with functional requirements, ensuring efficient, cost-effective solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Drive the adoption of new processes, documentation, and vendor partnerships for optimized execution.
  • Technology Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor on marketing, registration, payment, content management, meetings, mobile apps, and virtual event systems.
  • Governance & Execution: Act as a global center of excellence for digital event systems, sharing insights, governance frameworks, and strategic program updates.
  • Project Ownership: Lead field event technology planning, ensuring smooth execution across contracting, program development, and on-site operations.
  • Solution Development: Work closely with field marketers and leadership to define requirements, propose solutions, and document technical strategies.
  • Technical Integration: Oversee event technology system integrations within the marketing ecosystem leveraging data across attendee engagement, exhibitor interactions, sessions, surveys, and lead retrieval.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing operations, sales operations, and analytics teams to optimize data flows and strengthen insights.
  • API & Branding Setup: Spearhead the development of API integrations, internal website configurations, and branding implementation across customer-facing event platforms.
  • Analytics & Optimization: Align reporting structures with event technology platforms, ensuring accurate performance tracking and marketing attribution.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5-7+ years of experience in corporate events, serving as an independent program owner.
  • Proficiency in marketing, registration, payment systems, content management, mobile apps, and virtual event solutions.
  • Strong understanding of onsite registration technologies, badge printing, and lead retrieval.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in event technology or related fields.
  • Advanced proficiency in event technology solutions such as Rainfocus, Hubb, Stova, Swoogo, Eventbase, with Marketo and Salesforce integrations.
  • Experience in project management methodologies and technology integrations.
  • Expertise in budget management, including RFP development, projections, and reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, or other programming languages (preferred).
  • Ability to adapt to changing landscapes and implement technical solutions within a rapidly evolving event portfolio.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for event support.
