OVERVIEW
Streamline Defense is hiring a Senior Exploitation Specialist / Data Steward to support the NGA Analytics Technology Program (ATP) at NGA Washington. You will own the structure, integrity, and accessibility of geospatial data, applying RDBMS expertise and enterprise geodatabase knowledge to ensure analysts have clean, well-organized data when and where they need it.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage geospatial and tabular data within enterprise databases supporting NGA analytic missions
- Apply data normalization, performance tuning, and schema design best practices to enterprise data assets
- Maintain enterprise geodatabases including Spatial Database Engines (SDEs)
- Support data extraction, metadata management, and geo-referencing of intelligence information
- Operate independently at a senior level supporting ATP data management requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- 10+ years of relevant experience. A combination of education, professional certifications, and training may be substituted in lieu of years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field (Data Management, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Cartography, Geospatial Sciences, or Physical Sciences), OR equivalent combination of relevant coursework (minimum 30 semester hours, with at least 15 in Statistics and/or Mathematics) and database management experience totaling 4+ years
- Demonstrated understanding of GIS, data schemas, and geo-referencing of information
- Knowledge of extraction and metadata specifications
- Knowledge of RDBMS architectures, data normalization, and performance tuning
- Knowledge of enterprise geodatabases including Spatial Database Engines (SDEs)
- Hands-on knowledge of ArcGIS Suite, ArcGIS for Server, Excel, Access, SQL, and Oracle for spatial data storage and management
