Job Description

SALARY RANGE

$24.35 - $38.19

WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

  • Performs advanced fiscal support functions including processing supplier invoices for timely payment.
  • Creates and maintains supplier and customer contracts within the financial system, ensuring compliance with county policies and accurate setup for billing and payments.
  • Provides backup support for bi-weekly payroll processing, including assisting with payroll audits, any necessary data entry, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and policies.
  • Provides backup support for daily collections payment postings.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, assist with account reconciliations, and support general accounting functions.
  • Utilize financial system to perform other duties as assigned.

Senior Fiscal Specialist Minimum Training & Experience Requirements

  1. High School Diploma or GED.

  2. Five years of post high school work experience in finance or accounting.

  3. a. An associate degree from a recognized college or university with a major in finance or accounting may substitute for two (2) years of the work experience requirement.

OR

b. A bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with a major in finance or accounting may substitute for four (4) years of the work experience requirement.

Fiscal Specialist Minimum Training and Experience Requirements

  1. High School Diploma or GED.

  2. Three years of post high school work experience in finance or accounting.

  3. Post high school education from a recognized college or university in accounting, finance, business, or a closely related field may be substituted for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.
