Job Description

We are seeking a strong Senior Frontend Engineer - Acquisition to join our Acquisition team. This is primarily a senior engineering role focused on frontend architecture, React/TypeScript expertise, performance, ownership, and solving complex problems across web and mobile app experiences.

This engineer will work on customer-facing digital experiences that support acquisition, conversion, and marketing initiatives across web and mobile app surfaces. The role will partner closely with Product, Design, Marketing, Brand, Analytics, and other engineering teams to build scalable, performant, and maintainable frontend applications.

While this role operates in an acquisition and marketing technology domain-CMS, SEO, analytics events, GA/GTM, RudderStack, Mixpanel, React Native surfaces, and deep linking-deep prior experience in every tool is not required. Strong engineering fundamentals are the primary hiring bar; the right engineer can quickly learn domain-specific tools and apply sound technical judgment.

This is a senior individual contributor role for an engineer who can own complex frontend problems end-to-end, contribute to architecture, and raise the engineering bar. Success means building scalable, high-quality web and mobile app experiences in an acquisition-focused environment where performance, experimentation, analytics accuracy, SEO, deep linking, and conversion matter.

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant frontend applications across web and mobile app surfaces.

  • Lead technical initiatives that improve stability, performance, maintainability, and developer experience.

  • Own complex frontend features from discovery through delivery, including architecture, testing, launch, and iteration.

  • Partner with Product, Design, Marketing, Brand, Analytics, and Engineering to translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Build acquisition and conversion experiences, including landing pages, registration flows, promotional surfaces, app entry points, and related growth experiences.

  • Contribute to React Native app experiences where acquisition, onboarding, deep linking, or cross-platform journeys intersect with mobile.

  • Develop reusable components, patterns, and frontend systems that scale across teams and use cases.

  • Ensure applications meet high standards for performance, accessibility, responsiveness, SEO, and cross-platform quality.

  • Partner with marketing and analytics teams on event tracking, attribution, experimentation, and reporting.

  • Implement and maintain analytics instrumentation, including dataLayer events, GA4, GTM, RudderStack, Segment, or similar integrations.

  • Work with CMS-driven content experiences so business teams can manage content efficiently while engineering quality stays strong.

  • Support technical SEO needs such as metadata, structured data, canonical strategy, sitemaps, SSR/SSG, and page performance.

  • Support web-to-app acquisition journeys, including deep links, deferred deep links, app install paths, and attribution-aware flows.

  • Debug complex frontend issues across code, APIs, tracking, rendering, performance, and third-party integrations.

  • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to architectural decisions.

  • Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

  • Stay current with modern frontend technologies and introduce improvements where they create meaningful value.

What You Will Need

  • 5-6+ years of professional frontend engineering experience building production-grade applications.

  • Advanced proficiency with React.js, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component design, state management, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.

  • Experience building reusable frontend systems and writing clean, testable code.

  • Experience with modern frontend tooling, build systems, CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, and release practices.

  • Ability to integrate with APIs and communication patterns such as REST, GraphQL, or WebSockets.

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across complex frontend systems.

  • Proven project ownership from technical design through rollout and operational support.

  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders across Product, Design, Marketing, Analytics, QA, and Engineering.

  • Interest in cross-platform frontend work, including mobile app experiences such as React Native.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Strong Engineering Expectations

  • Strong engineering fundamentals and sound technical judgment.

  • Ability to balance scalability, maintainability, performance, and delivery speed in architectural decisions.

  • Ownership mindset, with the ability to take ambiguous problems to completion.

  • Ability to break complex problems into practical, incremental technical solutions.

  • High standards for code quality, testing, observability, and operational reliability.

  • Comfort across the frontend lifecycle: planning, architecture, implementation, testing, monitoring, and iteration.

  • Ability to mentor others and influence engineering direction without formal authority.

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, systems, and business domains quickly.

Nice to Have / Domain Experience

The following experience is helpful but not required. We value strong engineering ability over direct prior experience with every tool listed below, though React Native and cross-platform app work may be part of the role.

  • Experience with React Native or mobile-adjacent frontend development.

  • Experience supporting web-to-app acquisition flows, including deep linking, deferred deep linking, universal links, app links, and app install journeys.

  • Experience with headless CMS platforms such as Contentstack, Contentful, Sanity, or similar.

  • Experience building CMS-driven landing pages, marketing pages, or content-managed experiences.

  • Familiarity with technical SEO concepts such as SSR/SSG, metadata, canonical tags, structured data, crawlability, redirects, and sitemaps.

  • Experience with analytics implementation using Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, dataLayer events, or similar tooling.

  • Familiarity with CDPs or event-routing tools such as RudderStack, Segment, mParticle, Tealium, or similar platforms.

  • Familiarity with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, FullStory, Amplitude, or similar.

  • Experience supporting experimentation, A/B testing, personalization, or conversion optimization.

  • Familiarity with marketing attribution concepts and platforms such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, Meta CAPI, Google Ads, or similar.

  • Experience with SSR/SSG frameworks such as Astro, Next.js, Remix, or similar.

  • Experience with micro-frontend architectures or multi-team frontend platforms.

The salary range for this position is $175,000 - $180,000 USD, which is dependent on a several factors including relevant experience, geography, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k)-matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to cash bonuses. This role includes paid Flexible Time Off and paid company holidays.
