Job Description

We have an immediate opening for a Senior Healthcare Project Architect with 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare design and construction in the State of California working on projects under HCAI/OSHPD jurisdiction. You will be based in San Diego, supporting a team in that location while also being connected to and supporting the team across the Firm. Our team thrives on multi-disciplinary engagement while practicing at the intersection of architecture, interiors, and urban design and are distinguished by our creative and intellectual curiosity.

As a Senior Healthcare Project Architect, you will…

  • Perform architectural assignments with general direction, minimal supervision, and work independently as well as collaboratively with others in developing and implementing successful design solutions.
  • Assist in developing design and technical solutions for healthcare projects and bring a proven track-record of success with complex, multi-phase projects on an active hospital campus.
  • Provide production of design drawings, presentation drawings, and digital models in support of design teams.
  • Research products and materials, review existing conditions and reference projects, including those under construction to inform the production of design documentation.
  • Assist in meeting building performance goals, including metrics, verification, and design integration.
  • Assist in the execution of Construction Administration responsibilities and project close-out in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrate motivation in seeking new responsibilities and challenges.
  • Help build relationships with clients and consultants with team leaders.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship of junior staff.

Qualifications:

  • Professional architecture degree and 10+ years of experience in healthcare projects in the State of California.
  • Experience designing, executing, and documenting healthcare projects of various complexity.
  • Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors and clients to get the best project outcome.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and passionate.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent team communication skills with a collaborative team which includes the Owner, Owner’s Representative, CMGC and design-assist trade partners.
  • Experience detailing and execution of construction documents with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Sketch-Up, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office and Construction Management Project Software.
  • Licensed Architects are strongly preferred.
  • LEED Accreditation to strongly preferred.

Base Salary Range:

$100,000/yr - $145,000/yr
