Job Description

Senior Healthcare Project Manager - PM/CM

STV is seeking a Senior Healthcare Project Manager to join our growing Program Management/Construction Management team in North Texas and can be based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Houston, or Austin. This is an opportunity for an experienced healthcare construction leader to take ownership of complex, high-impact capital programs that shape the way hospitals and healthcare systems deliver care to their communities.

In this senior leadership role, you will serve as a trusted client partner and strategic delivery leader, guiding projects from early planning and programming through design, construction, commissioning, and closeout. You will work closely with executive stakeholders, facilities leaders, clinical teams, designers, contractors, and internal STV partners to drive successful outcomes across scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and client satisfaction.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Healthcare Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of healthcare projects and programs that require strong judgment, proactive communication, and the ability to balance technical, operational, financial, and client priorities. Your work will include:

  • Providing strategic leadership for multiple healthcare projects or programs, aligning resources, priorities, and execution plans with client and organizational goals.
  • Serving as the primary client interface and trusted advisor to senior executives, facilities leadership, clinical stakeholders, and project partners.
  • Leading project teams through planning, design, construction, commissioning, and closeout while maintaining focus on safety, quality, operations, schedule, and cost.
  • Establishing governance structures, escalation protocols, decision-making frameworks, and communication routines that keep stakeholders aligned and informed.
  • Managing project financial performance, including budget development, forecasting, change management, procurement strategy, and contract administration support.
  • Identifying and mitigating project and program-level risks to protect client operations, regulatory compliance, schedule performance, and overall project success.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; advanced degree or professional licensure is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience managing healthcare construction, capital improvement, or complex facility projects, including leadership of large or technically challenging programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a primary client representative with sound judgment, decision-making authority, and strong ownership of project outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare facilities planning, construction sequencing, operational continuity, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decisions at the executive level.
