Job Description

Chicago Trading Company (CTC) is a premier proprietary trading firm specializing in options market making.  Our collaborative culture fuels innovation in quantitative research, systematic trading strategies, and cutting-edge trading technology.  For over three decades CTC has provided critical liquidity across derivatives exchanges worldwide - making them fairer, more transparent, and more efficient.

We strive to be the most innovative firm in the industry today, tomorrow, and long into the future while upholding ethical excellence. We believe that CTC makes a positive impact on the markets, the lives of our employees, and all the communities to which we belong. Started in 1995 by a team of forward-thinking Traders, we are proud to call ourselves an industry leader that keeps making markets and each other better.

Our HCM Operations Team is responsible for the systems, data, and processes that support our people operations — spanning HRIS, data and insights, compensation, benefits, immigration, and employee support. We're a close-knit team that supports one another, cares deeply about the employees we serve, and takes pride in doing outstanding work. As our Sr. HCM Systems Analyst, you'll have real technical work to sink your teeth into — disconnected systems to integrate, manual processes to automate, data to clean up and structure, and AI tools to explore and put to use. It's the kind of environment where someone who loves to build and optimize will thrive. We move fast and value efficient, consistent processes, but always keep in mind the people our systems exist to help. We're also small enough to be nimble — if you bring skills or interests outside of systems, whether that's benefits, compliance, data analytics, or something else entirely, there's room to put them to use.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and continuously improve our HCM systems — including our HRIS (UKG Pro), ATS (Greenhouse), benefit platforms, comp tools, and other connected systems
  • Partner closely with our internal Tech team to spec, build, and maintain integrations and file feeds
  • Drive automation and AI initiatives to find smarter ways to get things done
  • Ensure our HCM data is clean, well-structured, and configured to power reliable reporting, automation, and integrations
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards that help leadership and teammates make good decisions
  • Manage system security to ensure sure the right people have the right access and our data is protected
  • Own compliance filings (e.g. EEOC, 5500s, etc.) and maintain our employee handbook
  • Collaborate closely with teammates across HCM, recruiting, finance, and beyond to translate their needs into system solutions
  • Document systems and processes so knowledge is accessible to the whole team

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of HCM systems experience across multiple platforms — including integrations, implementations, or migrations, ideally at a small or mid-size company
  • A hands-on problem solver who loves to build
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into system configuration and process design.
  • Strong data skills, knowing how data needs to be structured upstream to be useful downstream
  • Comfort working across technical tools — experience with BI platforms (e.g., Sigma, Power BI, Tableau) and a general understanding of APIs is a plus
  • Equally comfortable talking HCM and Tech, and able to bridge the two as a true partner
  • Preference for candidates in Chicago (relocation assistance available)

Compensation

The salary range for this role is listed below. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The discretionary bonus will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and firm performance.

Salary Range

$110,000 - $140,000USD

Most teams at CTC, with the exception of Trading, follow a hybrid workplace model, subject to change based on business need.

Our Benefits

We strongly believe in the well-being of our employees and their families so we offer outstanding benefits to support you both professionally and personally. These benefits include generous time off, insurance coverage, paid parental leave, free breakfast and lunch (plus healthy snacks, of course), wellness reimbursement, and a variety of other benefits focused on providing the best employee experience.

(Disclaimer: interns and contractors are not eligible for benefits at CTC)

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

At CTC, we aim to cultivate a workplace that celebrates diversity and each person feels included, engaged and empowered. Where each of us feels we belong. We are committed to having a diverse workforce and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
