Job Description

Who we are

CloudKitchens helps restaurateurs around the world succeed in online food delivery - our goal is to make food more affordable, higher quality and convenient for everyone.

We take underutilized properties and transform them into smart kitchens so they can better serve restaurateurs, customers and the neighborhoods they’re in. Every time we launch a new facility we create jobs in that neighborhood, and we’re proud to provide a wide range of cuisines and options for healthy food at an affordable price.

We're changing the game for restaurateurs whether they’re entrepreneurs opening their first restaurant all the way through to your favorite global quick-service restaurant chains.

What you’ll do

  • Provide on-site troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance for the most complex issues on mechanical, refrigeration, and controls systems.
  • Remotely and locally maintain and operate Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure thermal comfort and monitor system performance across facilities
  • Provide remote troubleshooting and support to Operations teams, Facility Managers, local technicians, and third-party mechanical contractors and service providers
  • Lead on-site repair projects for major system repairs with the assistance of local technicians
  • Assist in training lower-level technicians, growing their skills, and allowing them to become more self-sufficient on HVAC/R jobs .
  • Perform biannual site visits to operational facilities to confirm seasonal readiness, including light testing, adjusting, and balancing equipment when necessary
  • Develop and continuously improve commissioning and maintenance playbooks in collaboration with managers and peers, incorporating lessons learned across facilities
  • Conduct internal Engineering Systems Verification (ESV) at new facilities to ensure proper installation and functionality of key MEPS systems
  • Create and implement corrective action plans for deviations, coordinating with construction managers, facility managers, TAB agencies, or equipment vendors as needed
  • Review Mechanical Startup, System Design Verification (SDV), and Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) reports provided by third-party contractors

What we’re looking for

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Senior-level experience with HVAC/R systems, building management systems (BMS), and HVAC/R commissioning
  • Familiarity with Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB), and startup processes
  • Proven ability to read, interpret, and evaluate mechanical and commissioning reports
  • Comfort with remote troubleshooting of building systems (e.g., thermal comfort issues, sensor diagnostics, utility monitoring)
  • Experience maintaining and operating BMS platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls), and tools like CASLink, WAKS, or utility submeters
  • Exposure to construction and post-launch facility operations, including seasonal maintenance planning

Process-Oriented Mindset:

  • Ability to develop and refine commissioning or maintenance playbooks, incorporating lessons learned across projects
  • Strong documentation habits and ability to communicate findings, deviations, and corrective action plans effectively

Collaborative Communication:

  • Comfortable coordinating with construction managers, engineers, facility managers, contractors, and vendors
  • Skilled at providing clear, actionable feedback and support to both internal teams and external service providers

Autonomy & Adaptability:

  • Self-starter who thrives in loosely defined or evolving environments
  • Quick learner able to adapt to proprietary configurations and dynamic operating conditions

Availability & Commitment:

  • Willingness to travel for site visits
  • Committed to remote systems oversight during operational hours
